American Field Service (AFS)
AFS Intercultural Exchange Programs has been the greatest experience in my life. As a 17 years-old teenager I came to 10000km (6000 mls) away, to the United States of America.
It is not as easy as it seems. With all the differences, and the difficulties you improve yourself in many things. Language is first, followed by others.
As an exchange student I live in ARkansas, and go to school in Little Rock, the capital. I have a great host family and a great school.
Here we are 11 students in Little Rock and 37 in Arkansas. Oh God, we are from everywhere; America, Europe, Asia, Australia. Only Africa (unfortunately) and some Antarticans (we need you pengies) are missing, J
There is another Turk in AR, from my city also. I don't know if you are interested in but here is a link for Arkansas AFS Team at www.arkafs.org. There is more info about us and the team there (needs update, J ) I am not sure but I guess AFS Turkey doesn't have its own web page yet. So, no links,L . And the main AFS organization is at www.afs.org (not a good web site either)
You can find our pictures at MyPictures.
WARNING:
